Trios board appoints new member
Kennewick, Wash. – The Kennewick Public Hospital District board of commissioners voted to appoint Steve Blodgett as its newest member at a regularly scheduled board meeting held on Thursday, September 28.

Blodgett’s appointment fills a vacancy left when former commissioner Don Campbell resigned his position in August.

“Steve has been active on the KPHD finance committee since June of this year,” said board president Marv Kinney. “His deep background in finance has been a tremendous asset to the Commissioners as we’ve navigated through financial challenges in the Hospital District. We’ve appreciated his perspective and are pleased that he has joined us as a Commissioner to serve the Tri-Cities’ healthcare interests.”

Blodgett retired from a long time finance and accounting career in 2014.  His employment record includes jobs as financial controller for BioGro Inc., controller for the Pasco Red Lion Hotel, Assistant General Manager of Red Lion Hotel Columbia Center, and controller and CFO for Ag Engineering & Development—all in the Tri-Cities. Blodgett is a longtime resident of the Tri-Cities and a frequent community volunteer, serving on the board of the Mid-Columbia Musical Theater, Kiwanis Club president, Kennewick High Band Boosters, Eastgate PTA, and scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America. His board appointment was effective immediately.
