Trios board appoints new member
Kennewick, Wash. – The Kennewick Public Hospital District board of commissioners voted to appoint Leonard Dreisbach, MD as its newest member at a regularly scheduled board meeting held on Thursday, April 27.

Dr. Dreisbach’s appointment fills a vacancy left when former board secretary Jim Mefford resigned his position in March. Parties interested in the position were invited to submit resumes and three candidates were interviewed during Thursday’s public board meeting; the board then voted to appoint Dreisbach.

“Leonard has a long history of supporting the District and this community,” said board president Marv Kinney. “His deep clinical experience as a physician combined with a strong healthcare quality focus and prior service on the District’s quality and physicians’ operating committees will be an asset to our continued efforts to strengthen Trios Health.”

Dr. Dreisbach, who retired after nearly 30 years as a physician in obstetrics and gynecology—including 12 years at Trios Health (then Kennewick General Hospital)—is a longtime resident of the Tri-Cities and a frequent community volunteer. His board appointment is effective immediately.
